Banking

I am thinking about changing banks. I like the bank we use now, but last month our checking account became severely messed up and no one was willing to help us detangle it. I would also like to be able to check my balances and stuff on line. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there any banks in Auburn that offer a free checking account and on line banking for free as well?

Actually, no, we don't use Wells Fargo. Thanks for the suggestion.

Oh, I hate Wells Fargo. I had terrible luck with them! I use Professional Federal, and I LOVE it there! You have to know another member to become a member, but I can get you in if you are interested.

I used National City for awhile. They were very nice, helpful, and they do have free checking with no minimum balance, free online banking with free online bill pay too. There's my 2 cents!

I did ok with Chase, but the closest branch was in Kendalltucky or Fart Wayne. That kinda stunk. But the website access and such was good enough for me for the most part. Plus they're national, so I knew there'd pretty much be a Chase Bank no matter where I moved. Perhaps not as much of a concern for you.

Ask dad about ProFed maybe? I would always choose a credit union over a bank, given the choice. Do you qualify for any Teacher's or County employees CUs?

Our personal accounts are with Dekalb Credit Union, but they don't have many ATMs. My business account (you did know I had a computer repair and consulting business, didn't you?) is with Profed, and they FLIPPIN' ROCK!
